I’ve been out of touch for a few days. I haven’t had any kind of Internet in my house or any kind of time to find Internet outside my house. The lovely lady from Comcast came today and made it all better. So here I sit scrunched over my plugged in laptop struggling to write while I give myself a back ache. When we got hooked up today it was amidst boxes and the litter that comes with unpacking and due to the chaos we ended up with an old fashioned plug-in Internet router. I guess I’ve been a bit spoiled with wireless Internet. I’ll head to the store to buy a wireless router soon, but until then-scrunched it is!
The Internet set up is indicative of this whole move-chaotic. We’re a bit nomadic right now. Our move-in-date got changed from Saturday to Monday (on Friday!). So our leisurely weekend move turned into a three day weekday jaunt filled with one crazy turn after another. We’re here for brief unpacking and the all important cable hook-up and then we head back to MD until the month ends when we officially become New Jersey residents.
The effect of all this is that we feel like we’re vacationing in our new house. My kids keep asking me when we’re going home. I think today when they woke up in and then went back to sleep in the same place, they started to get the idea. Great, just in time to take them back to MD again and confuse them even more. Luckily, I have quickly learned they are wildly adaptable and will be just fine. And maybe, just maybe, I will be too.
