So, I bet you’d never guess but back in an old life I used to do make-up for people semi-professionally. I was a Mary Kay sales director and thus was trained extensively in skin-care and makeup application. I had a full face every time you saw me and I really delighted in doing it for other people. Many a family bride can add me to their photo credits.
People who know me now are probably shocked at this proclamation as these days I can mostly be found in workout gear and a ponytail. Alas, I still keep up on what to do and how so that for those rare occasions I get to go out, I can do it up right.
Today’s talky-talk Tuesday is a video on how to do quick makeup for day to day. I use three quick strokes of eye shadow, some liner, mascara and the best kept secret in fake foundation ever.
Check it out and then leave comments for any tricks you have for getting out the door fast and still looking good.
Credits (all of these items I purchased myself except the Bare Minerals which I was given when I attended an event with MomTrends and the Tarte compacts which I won as a giveaway from the beautiful Melissa at Married My Sugar Daddy. You can purchase Bare Escentuals/Bare Minerals products through QVC, which I intend to do as soon as this runs out because it’s that good.) All opinions are my own.

I recently started using Koores Pomegranate Mattifying treatment. It goes on after your moisturizer. I love it because it helps absorb all that summer face oil And it helps my skin look fresh and a bit tighter. I even notice that I don’t need powder or foundation when I use it. I originally got it as a sample from Sephora and fell in love with it to the point where I went and bought a whole bottle!

Good to know. I barely use foundation in the summer but I do feel like I need something. I’ll check it out!
