So much of the delight of parenting happens in the small every day moments. I am so grateful I am here for them-even if it means I pull my hair out almost every day over the shear amount of time I am surrounded by the madness of children. I would never trade the madness for any other job.
Here are a few of the things I’ve caught in the last 48 hours, each more adorable than the next:
“Mom, I just want to hug you all day long.”
“I have stripes, and polka dots and flowers! This is going to be the best craziest dress down day ever. I am awesome!”
Me:”This dresser smells like Ganny’s Perfume.”
The Middle One in his most wistful voice with a faraway look in his eye: “I know. It’s nice. I remember the day she moved it in.” (It was not years ago but rather about five days and if I recall She actually had nothing to do with it.)
“What did you do in Miss Deb’s class today G?”
“We had snack, and a bull fight.”
“I’m sorry-did you say bullfight?”
“Yes, green shamrock cookies for snack. And a bullfight.”
(Maybe mommy needs an observation day in Miss Deb’s class!)
“My brudder, I just love you.” (G-followed with big bear hug.)
“I’m so glad when F gets home from school.” (D)
“See what I have to go through in life with these two crazy brothers? Ugh.” (F-I guess 2 out of 3 ain’t bad.)
Can’t wait to see what tomorrow holds.

i LOVE the comment about the dresser! Ganny actually did help move it! she and Gamps carried it up the stairs as bean & i stood by protesting! danny was playing Wii boxing the entire time… so good multi-tasking skills on his part! xoxo
