The first day of our spring break we woke up to snow. Yes, snow. We didn’t let the weather stop us. We’re on vacation in Maryland and we fully intend to spend time enjoying all that Washington, DC has to offer-no matter how the weather conspires against us! We will do whatever it takes to live out this week to its fullest potential.
This is pretty much our family motto, do everything in your power to combat the ills of the world. We eat well, we’re active and we complete our diets by all taking a few supplements to ensure our bodies are getting all they need to work for us, even if we, or the outside world sometimes make the job hard. Because of all of this, we’re mostly able to avoid all the icky-sickness that winter holds for many. We have a sniffle or a cough here or there, but we’ve been pretty healthy all winter long.
One of the supplements we take around here are probiotics. Probiotics are the “good bacteria” you might hear about that help to maintain the balance of microorganisms in your intestine. Like in all of life, balance in the intestine is good. Balance helps you to have a healthy “gut”. I learned while studying as a health coach, that a healthy gut can equal a healthy life. Your digestive tract houses 70% of our immune system so if we can keep everything running right on the inside (ahem, if you know what I mean) then we’ll most likely be able to run around just fine on the outside.
So, if I want to keep our family charging after their motto of taking on the world, I have to keep everyone healthy and a healthy immune system starts in your belly.
Culturelle® Kids Probiotics is a natural solution for better digestive and immune health. Not only does it support a child’s digestion, helping to reduce occasional digestive upset, but it also helps to boost digestion and overall digestive health.
Considering that 70% of your immune system is in your digestive tract, a healthy and balanced digestive system plays a vital role in strengthening a child’s overall health and well-being.

I definitely need to get this for my family and actually implement it.
And what’s with the snow on spring break? Total fun kill. 🙂

I know with the snow! We’re refusing to let it kill our fun but we didn’t get as much as many others. I think I’d scream if we did.;)

Regular grocery or online. Check their website for options.

I’ve been looking for a probiotic for my kids. Can you get those at a regular grocery store or do you need to go to a vitamin store?
