That is unheard of around here.
So what if we had to compete with iPhone? At least he was here! |
The first night was crazy because we were all off schedule with a fifth body in the house. The boys ran amok and The Girl put on her best “Look at Me” act for anyone who would listen. It was loud and chaotic and full of the energy that comes when the schedule is off.
But the second night? Oh the second night we settled in nicely. After dinner and dishes and lunches (oh and after we put The Baby to bed early because by six p.m. he was Stinker McCranky Pants because of his self-inflicted six a.m. bugle call) we had a lovely evening.
I worked with The Middle One on a pretty cool model dinosaur and The Girl and her dad worked on an oral report for school.
Cool or What? |
More than just having an extra set of hands (which was nice) I truly appreciated having him around for the regular moments of our life. It was nice paying attention to one kid while someone else helped another. And for The Girl, she always gets a steadier, calmer hand in dad so I’m sure homework was less painful than normal for her.
