Laughter. What more could you need? There is a reason they call it the best medicine. (FTR, I have no idea who “they” are but as they nailed this one, I am sure they are wise.)
Yesterday, I was tired and blue so I watched a few minutes of the women of SNL special and was reminded of the YEARS of laughter those ladies have brought-from The Sweeney Sisters to Weekend Update with Tina and Amy.
Then, I watched Sophia Vergara on the Ellen Show and laughed so hard my stomach actually seized in pain. But I didn’t care because laughter, as they say, is the best medicine.
There are plenty of people in my life who are funny. Plenty of them are male. And yet, there is something about the deep, soul-cleansing laughter that funny ladies bring about, whether on television or on the other end of my phone line that deserves a special thanks.
So today I’m thankful for the funny chicks in my life and the gift that they have for always curing what ails me.
Check it.
