The Girl has had a couple zingers this week.
First, Ye of only wearing Lands End dresses has matured into a much more diverse wardrobe these days. Her closet and drawers are full of pants and skirt now so there are far more combination options than she’s ever had before. Often this leads to Punky Brewster moments where I am not sure if she’s kidding or serious. Other times she shocks me with her head to toe ensembles so much that I am convinced she will be ” The Nice Girl” on Launch My Line or bidding Auf Weidersehen to her fellow contestants while she takes the Runway crown from Heidi.
This week she had a jean/shirt combo that included a scarf tied jauntily around her neck. Call me superficial, but it made this mama proud. My tiny fashionista knows how to accessorize.
Then, this week I told her I was thinking of starting another business. She was mortified, you can’t stop selling Mary Kay. I love Mary Kay. I tried to explain that this would be in addition to Mary Kay, she was complaining so much she didn’t even hear me. So I shouted, “It would be jewelry.” To which she froze dead in her tracks and said, “oh, that would work for me. I also love fantastic jewelry.”
Good to know Diva. Good to know.
