The Right Hand Mom blog is just over a year old-wahoo! We’ve blended the world of the Traveling Circus in with the world of parenting tips, marriage stories and music. It’s been a year of figuring out who we are and now that we’ve got that covered (not really, but it’s what I like to tell myself) it’s time to stretch a little more. First, we’ll have guest posters. Our first one coming up this week is so awesome it’s all I can do to not post right now! Second, we’re going to try more video. Our first attempt is what I’m going to call “Cawfee Tawk Tuesday”. Remember Linda Richmond? Well, I do and I freakin’ love her. So, in homage to Linda and my girls Jodi and Betty from Bronx Beat, (Please, do yourself a favor and click there. It’s worth your time.) I’m starting my own version of these NY/NJ segments where we dish on “Dawgs and Dawtas” every Tuesday. Ok, seriously enough bad accent jokes. What we’re really going to do is address a pareting, or life topic and then I’d love for you to chime in with a comment on what you do. Pretend you’re here, in my office and let’s talk.
If you have any requests for topics, I’ll take all opinions. I love me some opinions! (Except the ones where you bash the video quality or tell me to put on makeup. Keep those to yourself. I already know!) Just email me at therighthandmom at gmail dot com.
And now Episode One of Coffee Talk Tuesday.

Love this idea!
We ask the kids to read or play quietly in their rooms until Mommy drinks 1 cup of coffee. It usually buys me 15 minutes. Plus, we taught them how to make their own breakfast this summer and that gives me at least 10 more minutes!

The make your own breakfast is clutch. ‘Tis the reason my kids will eat cereal always, no matter how healthy the rest of our day is!
