I am too overwhelmed to write too much. We got THE package yesterday that pushed me over the edge. The package containing THIS:
The “Schooliform“.
Kindergarten didn’t throw me. Perhaps it was because we were in the middle of a million other life changes when she started. Maybe it was because she was so ready. It could have been because I am a stubborn pain-in-the-ass who will do anything to keep from being a cliche. What’s more cliche than being sad to send your kid to school? I am twisted that way.
Whatever the case, my twisted subconscious or my inability to comprehend one more thing, I didn’t cry for Kindergarten.
But for some reason-first grade is kicking my butt.
Maybe it’s the uniform. Maybe it’s that she wants shorts instead of dresses for the first time ever.
Maybe it’s the Big Kid responsibilities like having to wear tie-shoes and keeping track of gym day. Whatever the reason-I don’t like this feeling. I think I’ll just hold on to summer as long as I can.
Phooey first grade.

She is so cute & grown up! I'm sure it is hard to realize your baby is starting 1st grade but she is so ready for it…:)

She is too cute:) And is the same hunter green and gray the we all had the pleasure of wearing?
Hang in there – you have the middle one and the baby to help you through the first days.

I love first graders uniforms. Always just a little too long so they will last through the growth spurts. I don't want to go back either and I am in the 28th grade. Summer is too short.
