About a year ago, The Husband and I went to Bonefish Grill for the first time. We were so pleasantly surprised we have gone back a few times. The seafood is all fresh and delicious and the extra touches, like special seasonal menus and specialty cocktails make the entire experience top notch.
The first time we had dinner there, we actually thought it would be a great place to bring the kids because the menu had some kid-friendly offerings, the service is fantastic, and, here’s the kicker, they covered the table with butcher paper so you could draw all over it. We were pretty sure our three would love that feature as much as any food.
Saturday night we bundled up and headed out for a “fancy” dinner as our kids referred to it, at Bonefish Grill in Middletown. Turns out we were right, the kids couldn’t open their crayon packets fast enough to start drawing all over the table and they were occupied long enough that their dad and I could enjoy a specialty cocktail.
Oh and they loved the food too! The Girl even tried the tuna sashimi appetizer that The Husband and I adore. She gave it two chopsticks up.
As always, the food at Bonefish Grill did not disappoint. Right now they have just debuted their Winter Tales menu, a perfect pairing of lobster and shrimp options created to make mouths water. This menu will be available at all Bonefish Grill restaurants for the rest of January.
The Winter Tales menu pairs succulent lobster and the sweet flavor of shrimp at a great value. From Lobster Street Tacos to Shrimp Bowls to Grilled Shrimp Skewers seasoned with pesto marinade, there’s something for every seafood lover to enjoy. We, all five, loved every bite from the first delivery of warm bread to the last lick of chocolate brownie and all the delicious seafood in between.
The Husband got sirloin, topped with crab and, of course- lobster. We all shared bites because it just looked and smelled so good! I had the ahi street tacos, which are a departure from my normal steak and seafood wishes because of my recent surgery, but I have to say I didn’t feel like I was missing anything. They were delicious!
Now, the prices at Bonefish Grill are certainly higher than our regular Saturday night pizza joint, but for a family of five, they also don’t break the bank and you certainly get what you pay for. Bonefish Grill has great quality meals and an atmosphere that is great for the whole clan no matter their ages and stages.
We may not go every week, and certainly I’d like it if sometimes it could be just The Husband and I, but we’ll for sure be back for a “fancy” dinner again with the whole family at Bonefish Grill, because everyone loves it like we do.
** Disclosure: I received a gift card to use toward the cost of dinner for the purposes of previewing the Winter Tales menu. All opinions are my own.
