What’s a MOOC? Excellent question. MOOC stands for Massive Open Online Course and it’s something that makes this school-loving-geek pretty darn excited. I have already utilized online classrooms when I got my Health Coach certification. I’m about to delve into the world of online learning again when I start school this fall for yet another Master’s Degree (I know, I know, but I think I’ve finally figured out what I want to do with my life!)
The thing with online learning is that, while it is an incredible invention, it requires old dogs learning some new tricks of they want to be successful.
I’ve written about how I figured out a time-management system to keep myself accountable while learning online. I happen to think it’s pretty sage advice. I did successfully complete the program after all. I’ve written over at StudentAdvisor.com rel=”nofollow” , which happens to be full of all sorts of other great information as well. Check it out and who knows, maybe you’ll be inspired to enroll in a MOOC or two as well.

This is the kind of article i love to read, online learning can offer so much for those that want to learn, and the choice right now is limitless, personally i like the look of the Dino 101 mooc offered by Uni of Alberta , always fancied myself as a budding Ross Geller, i have no affiliation to that mooc or Alberta Uni, merely something that peaked my interest and shows the depth of subjects now available out there online.
Good luck with your masters.
