I’m no Pioneer Woman, with my fancy photo affects, but here are some very rudimentary shots at what tasted way better than it looks. I don’t have a ton because I always forget to shoot until we’re all dug in and then it just looks like what The Middle One calls it all, the “slop mom’s been making.”
The Famous Kid-Created Pizza that they ask for every night now. |
Creamy Chicken with spinach/Zuccini salad. The Middle One Deemed this “The Best Meal Yet”. |
Just proof that I stand by my family dinner rule for as long as I can. |
Beef Stroganoff-reheated for hubby. The first seating looked much tastier. He didn’t complain though. |
Where most of the magic happens. How the heck did I cook without this? |
Seriously, there is nothing better than grilled cheese on home baked bread. WITH triple tomato soup. Mmmm… |
Before we devoured it. On weekends our treat is a loaf of French. The Girl eats it for every meal! |
What’s missing from this pictures that was outstanding is chicken divan, chicken sausage with polenta, cannelloni, and veggie lasagna. For the last two, I used tofu instead of ricotta and no one was the wiser. Tonight, pork roast and mashed potatoes with asparagus. I’ll try to remember to take pictures before we’re all finished!

Hey, I just found your blog through the twitter #tipablog movement! I blog about family travel, too!

Yum-O! I think your slop looks great.
I need to pull out my bread machine. I've been making bread and biscuits a lot lately but have just been doing it in the oven. I never remember to do the whole punch down and let rise again thing at the right time and it ends up too hot for dinnertime.
I've got homemade tomato soup on the menu for next week. I can't wait. Mmmmmmmm. Tonight is tortellini soup with spinach, tomorrow night is shepherd's pie and Friday is fish tacos.
Can you send me your french bread recipe? I've been doing yeast breads and I'd like to try a good french.

Can I come to dinner one night or every night? They all look delicious and nothing like "slop":)
