My kids are notoriously bad school picture takers. They are as cute as can be in real life and when I’m behind the camera they’re even pretty photogenic.There is something about sitting in front of that portrait photographer that makes them smile funny and close their eyes or hide behind their hair. It’s not been pretty. In the past, we’ve gotten the smallest package just to make sure the kids don’t feel left out when the other kids bring big fat picture envelopes home from school. We never hang them. We almost never even give them out. We put them away for later, I guess.
When The Baby came home with the school picture notice that said we would get proofs to choose from before we ordered, I figured it would be no problem as we wouldn’t have much to choose from and thus could still spend minimum dollars and hurt no ones feelings.
Then, I got this in the back pack.

What’s a mom to do? I want them all. I want to hang them all over my house and on my keychain. I even want the tote bag emblazoned with that face and “Proud Mom” sweatshirt that they offer! But the other kids will feel bad. Also, I don’t have a spare 100 bucks. But, sweet mother! I know he’s my kid but seriously, are these cute or what?

So cute!!! My mom has ALL of our school pictures still and once we graduated we had to continue to go to Sears & get a portrait until my sister graduated high school! There are a lot of not so pretty ones (esp. middle & high school), but they are great fun to look at!
