It seems silly this morning to be a mommy blogger. I usually relish this role-sharing tales of the trenches. But today there are suicide bombers in Moscow, reactions to a health care bill that are shocking at best; and now -on this holiest of weeks- The Pope has been linked to not one, but two sex-abuse cases that fell within his direct control and were handled poorly. This one rocked an already unstable foundation in me.
So today I can’t bring myself to write about crafts or potty training or even my beloved Mountaineers making it to the Final Four.
I am not a journalist who is forced to face this head on. I am a blogger-a proud one, but one who exercises her right to cover the topics she chooses. I don’t like starting trouble and I avoid controversy at all costs. So I will not write about what is on my mind today.
There are just too many issues my brain is working out and I am not fit to share them just yet.
I’ll be back tomorrow with tales of The Circus that will make us all fee better-the kids always do.

This is why you should NEVER watch the news. There is a reason they say ignorance is bliss and as far as the news goes I am all for that!

Read Sinead O'Connors op ed in yesterdays Washington Post. It turns out maybe she wasn't just a wack job eighteen years ago.
Of course the question came up last night since JP II played during the "sex abuse" era does this hurt his chances for Sainthood?
