Hillary Clinton.
What? That doesn’t sound like a mommy blog topic.
And yet, love her or hate her; fan or not, you’ll never know how I feel-that’s not important. What is? The fact that as a woman, I feel the need to write about her right now.
Thank you Hillary Clinton for going to “The Most Dangerous Place for Women on Earth” and attempting to bring attention there. Maybe, for even trying to do something about it.
Thank you for getting hot, and tired, and overwhelmed enough by what you saw there, to snap at a student-reporter whom you thought was trying to take the focus away from what was important.
Thank you, for apologizing and laughing at yourself with that reporter after things were cleared up. Thank you for not speaking about the incident again-even though DAYS later you are still being roasted in the media for finally being frustrated that often your efforts are overshadowed by who you are married to; roasted, essentially-for being human.
Thank you for not bringing the incident up again, because you know that is not what is important about your trip.
What is important is that women in the Democratic Republic of Congo are tortured. Tortured.
Shame on you “liberal” media for not focusing on that.

Kevin King says
This might be the most important piece you have ever written. I agree with you 100 percent…and I loathe Hillary Clinton. Violence against women is practically government-sanctioned in "democratic" countries around the world and we turn a blind eye. Hillary Clinton, President Obama, Bill Clinton — hell, even George Clinton — ought to be equally outraged.

I say it out loud – I love her. You go girl!
