Man, oh man. If I thought there was wonder in raising tweens, I had no idea how much until I took them on vacation. We’re spending the week at the Homewood Suites in Silver Spring, MD. We’re two blocks from the Metro which means we’re minutes from DC and all the wonder that holds. DC is great. The Metro is great. But seriously, we could have just stayed in the hotel and that would be enough! There aren’t enough words for the amount of fun I’m having. So I’ll show you instead.
Oh and the blind auditions of The Voice every evening? Icing on the cake!

Love all these pictures! And I totally identify with that sentiment; just got back from a Disney cruise which was AMAZING and yet if the kids had spent the week in the Hampton Inn in Tamarac, FL where we stayed the night before departure, they would’ve been thrilled with that, too. A pool and fruit loops at the breakfast buffet, and they thought they had hit the jackpot. Next time, vacationing in Tinton Falls.

Exactly! We should all just plan a Tinton Falls staycation next year! We could “site see” in Long Branch.:)
