There are people you meet in life that you click with instantly. As a mom, there are women you meet that you know right away you’d be friends with even if you didn’t have kids in common. Jessica fits in both categories. I have long admired her California coolness and amazing ability to seem calm in the midst of kid chaos. Now she is also the inspiration for this blog. Jessica took her PR savvy and her mom coolness and turned them into quite a life for herself. I am a devoted reader of her blog and have read many other incredible women’s work as a result of stopping by her page.
As my family of five embarks on yet another move (the 4th in 9 years and no my husband is not in the military) I find I have quite a few stories to tell. I used to share my stories with classrooms full of writing students. But I have forgone my captive audience for life as a work from home mother in an entirely different field. So,I bribed my friend Jessica with a bottle of wine and she taught me how to share my stories with the world; or at least the six people who might actually read this thing.
So thank you Jess. I will miss you when we go. Luckily you have taught me how to stay close even if we are far away.
