Today’s Talky-Talk Tuesday does not feature yours truly-unless of course you count my headless voice-over introduction. Today’s very special guest is none other than The Girl. She will give you her take on the latest Diary of a Wimpy Kid. I will take a quick minute to brag about our Star Reviewer. She wanted to read the book so I told her I’d get her a review copy as long as she did the review.
Wouldn’t you know that just before bedtime last night I literally tossed her on the couch and told her she had to tell me about the book in less than one minute. As soon as the camera rolled she gave me this commercial quality review. I was skeptical and asked her if she made up this review or if she read it right off the back of the book. She told me she took the back of the book and summarized it into words she thought would make people want to read. I was STILL skeptical but when I read the back of the book, sure enough, she hadn’t lifted her words right off but instead synthesized into a perfect 50 second teaser.
Since I screwed it up, I made her shoot it again and you get the polished young lady you see below. She’ll tell you about the book, but I can give my on teaser by saying she felt as impressed by the book as I continuously am by her.
Oh, and if you listen closely enough, you’ll hear the shrill screeching of two boys wrestling in the background. That’s Real Life around here folks.
