I was all set to write about my thoughts on the medical system after a week of Danny’s mysterious rash, but then two things happened that seemed much more valuable to post today.
One: Danny comes running through the kitchen after lunch and this what follows:
From behind closed bathroom door, “Mom,before I pooped I fell into the toilet.”
“Hmm, do you need help?”
“No, I got it.”
“Kay”
From the bathroom in a very soft but high pitched voice,
“Well, we have very interesting situation here. Gee.”
Toilet flushes. Sink runs. Door flies open.
“It’s all taken care of mom.”
Whew.
Second: He is sitting next to me (rubbing up against me like a cat in an attempt to creatively scratch an itch, but that’s another post) eating a plate of turkey and Goldfish left over from lunch (Which btw was, applesauce, 2 slices of cheddar cheese, 2 pieces of turkey, strawberries and a banana-followed with a handful of goldfish.)
As he eats the last bite, still chewing (!!) he says, “can I have a snack?”.
WHAT?!?!?!
That is what I mean when I say the boy has an insatiable appetite.
Good thing this awful allergy rash hasn’t broken his spirit. Leprosy be dammed!!
