Why is it that my children will stop at nothing to get candy in their mouths. I am set to go downstairs and throw away every last piece of Easter candy and chocolate that has entered this house because I am so disturbed by my kids’ behavior. They lie, they steal. They sneak into the kitchen for “water” only to be caught constructing some sort of ladder made of cereal boxes to help them up to the top counter where the candy is stored. It’s as if they have never been fed and their last chance at survival is stuffing as much junk in their mouths as humanly possible. It’s frightening really.
I don’t know where they get it. I mean I have had the self-control to limit myself to only two (entire!)bags of Starburst Red Jelly Beans. In fact, I have eaten so many that my stomach is actually seizing in pain from the amount of jelly-bean slime it has been forced to digest.

But someone please explain where the children get their candy obsession. Really. It’s a mystery.
