I was sitting on Faith’s bed talking on the phone (you find quiet wherever you can, man) and I was struck by this picture.
Look at the surrounding shoes. That is who she is: girly, flowery, sparkly. Then, look at the middle two sets-the new shoes. They are- in a word-old.
I know, I’m hung up on her shoes. But she is a girl after her mom’s heart and loves her some shoes. So, it is no wonder I tie so much of her personality in with her footwear. (No pun intended… well, maybe.)
Thus, I’m having a hard time with these school-kid shoes. I don’t like it. Not one bit. Quite frankly, neither does she. Thank goodness she has weekend shoes-for both of our sakes.
