- my children have gotten their clothes every morning this week from a folded pile in the laundry room. Their dirty clothes are in massive piles on the floor as their hampers are held hostage in said laundry room.
- Right after writing the post for Jersey Moms Blog about the food revolution, I was running around so crazy, The Baby had Chic Fil A for lunch.
- I have fought with my daughter so much about homework, and braces, and just about everything else that HER BROTHER commented this morning how nice breakfast this morning because she wasn’t yelling at me.
- We have ants again and I’m resigned to us never being rid of them because I just don’t think I can keep the house that clean.
So there you have it, there is no danger of me thinking I’m perfect. Didn’t want you to either. I just share ideas that work because I assume we’re all just doing the best we can and if something is easier for me, I want everyone to have a chance to make it easy. I so appreciate the comments and suggestions that you leave here. I try to incorporate them all. Anyone know how to make laundry less awful?
I’m heading into the city today with The Husband. It was a near miss as he angrily texted me last night to tell me he had to go to work and we’re “Not there yet”. Meaning, he isn’t in a place in his life where he can take days off work. Still. Yikes.
He got over it, thankfully and now we’re getting on a train in our best green shirts to pretend like we’re in our twenties at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in NYC.
I’m not sure I’ll be posting tomorrow.:)
In the meantime, I’ve just finished a fantastic book and I wanted to share it. I have slogged through some terrible reads of late, so when I come across one I love I want to shout it from the rooftops.
Moonlight Mile by Dennis Lehane is a sequel of sorts. If you’re familiar withe movie or book Gone Baby Gone then you’ll know the detective Kenzie and Gennaro and their search for a little girl kidnapped by cops. This book takes place 12 years later. Same girl disappears and the twists and turns of the story are so many you literally won’t be able to put the book down. An additional bonus is that this is not just another serial murder mystery. As a writer Lehane has a magical way with that had me singing his praises from page one.
