I haven’t done a Wonder Wednesday post in a while. This is not because there hasn’t been any wonder. There has been plenty. I just haven’t slowed down long enough to capture it.
Yesterday, on my commute from work, I noticed something had changed. What I used to think was a burned out field suddenly had an addition to it. Lots of additions actually. I am guessing this will eventually be a Christmas tree farm. Right now, it’s just full of tiny little saplings fighting their hardest against these long dry fall days. I immediately wanted to share it with you guys but wondered how I would since it’s on a two-lane road with no shoulder and enough traffic that a pause to snap a photo would be dangerous.
Then, this morning I hit a red stop light right in front of these little guys. I didn’t even realize the stoplight was there, that’s how infrequently it is red while I’m driving. Pretty spectacular timing, huh? Talk about wonder.
Most of my commute is full of wonder as I drive, literally, over rivers and through woods. But, for today, this little field of baby trees takes the wonder cake.
