Social Media. Two words that conjure up all types of responses from all types of people. For me, social media has been my livelihood, a great distraction and oftentimes, my life line. I will never get on board with the folks who say social relationships are killing real relationships. I have too many real ones born of twitter to ever be down with that fight.
I will never underestimate the power of social media. I have seen it make and break people, businesses and causes. At its best, social media is the driving force behind so much good that I will go to the mat to defend it in almost every circumstance. People are good and often the news tells us differently. Just spend a bit of time watching the magic of twitter or tumblr or reddit and you just might join my pro-sm team.
